ICE (Intentional Community Evangelism) will be a major thrust of the ministry efforts of Colorado Baptists during the Democratic National Convention August 25-29. CBGC church members are invited to join the teams coming in from around the country to help with this evangelistic event. |

Who is Invited: Church Planting Teams (Husband, wife, and children), and Church Planting Mentors and Supervisors planning or planting a Colorado Baptist affiliated congregation. What is Basic Training: This is a strategy planning workshop to 1) to assist church planting teams in clarifying church planting strategy 2) to learn about best-practices of church planting in Colorado 3) to network with other Colorado church planters and mentors, and 4) to determine a step-by-step road map for a successful launch of a church.

Anchor Way Baptist Church, Steamboat Springs, hosted the 52nd Annual Meeting of the Colorado Baptist General Convention on October 16, 2007. One hundred eighty-eight messengers from 84 affiliated churches and many guests met at the Steamboat Grand Resort and Hotel for a day of praise, worship and business. |

Longs Peak Baptist Association gathered at the Tapestry House in Laporte on October 14 to celebrate 50 years of ministry. Executive Director Mark Edlund delivered greetings and congratulations from the Colorado Baptist General Convention (CBGC). SBC Life columnist and psychologist David Lowery presented the keynote address.

The Disaster Relief Team of the Colorado Baptist General Convention is currently developing a Temporary Child Care Unit to be used in emergency and disaster settings around the state and nation. This unit will be staffed with trained and screened volunteers to work in conjunction with other national agencies to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the smallest victims.
