In 2 years the Winter Olmpyics will be held in Vancouver.  This presents many ministry and evangelism opportunities in an area where there are not many Southern Baptist churches.  In addition to the Olympics the following, are some needs of Canadian Southern Baptists:

• prayer walking teams to cover the cities of Vancouver and Whistler with prayer in the 2 years leading up to the Olympics
• someone to coordinate the prayer walking teams, possibly a prayer intern working in the Vancouver area
• resources for printing information for prayer walkers
• people willing to pray consistently for Canada from wherever they live
• partners to assist with a possible prayer conference in 2010
• an individual, gifted in administration, teaching and computer skills that would assist in the prayer office.  This would include Canada and Vancouver ministries and the person would become a regional prayer coordinator for British Columbia
• people willing to prayer walk different regions of Canada
• regional prayer coordinators (these coordinators can work by email and do not necessarily have to reside in Canada)
• people willing to train churches and associations on prayer topics
• partnerships and resources for a possible prayer conference in Ontario in 2009
