Mike Gaines is the new Director of Student Evangelism for the CBGC. Mike grew up in Colorado graduating from Arvada High School, and served as a volunteer and career firefighter/EMT before being called into full-time vocational ministry.
A graduate of Southwest Baptist University, Mike has been serving in youth ministry for more than 13 years in capacities ranging from adult volunteer to Associate Pastor, as well as serving on staff with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Dare 2 Share Ministries. He has had the opportunity to speak to large groups of students and youth leaders through regional, denominational and national speaking engagements.
Mike is passionate about helping youth and youth leaders grow in their leadership development, and in becoming Great Commission focused. "I am excited about the potential for effective Great Commission youth ministry we have in Colorado, not only through our major events like Super Summer camp and Christian Youth Day, but through holistic strategy in our local churches."
Mike lives in Denver with his wife, Teresa, and their children Michaela, Kurtis and Dalton.
