Yard Sale to Share Jesus

In the community near Wray Southern Baptist Church a 43 year old man had a stroke of his spinal cord and was paralyzed from the rib cage down. At the time the church was preparing a yard sale in order to raise money for new tables, but was compelled to instead use all the money collected for this man and his family.

To minister a little further to this family, Wray Southern Baptist decided to match the funds collected from this sale. The church quickly filled up with donations and lots of people set foot in the church building the day of the sale. Buyers became very curious to know why this church would collect money for a “stranger” and non-member to their congregation. At the conclusion of the yard sale they had collected $2116 and some change.

Blessings did not end with the funds collected. Wray was also able to help serve an 18 year old that was making the transition out of foster care. They worked with another local church and provided many household items for free.

God is alive and well in Wray, Colorado!
