Colorado Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers have been working at Ponderosa Retreat & Conferece Center getting the buckets ready for shipment to Haiti. We would like to send a BIG Thank You to all of our Colorado Baptist Churches; the 20+ volunteers that helped inspect and prepare the buckets for shipment to Miami; and the Ponderosa Retreat and Conference Center for allowing us to store the buckets until shipment. We collected 1543 buckets!

Thank you Colorado!
A number of churches from Mesa Verde, Grand Valley to the Front Range have challenged their congregations for 100 percent participation...and are seeing the fruit of that. Mississippi Avenue Baptist Church purchased 100 buckets and displayed them in their foyer with instructions included for their church members to pick up and return to filled with food and prayers. Allie McNider, Minister of Education is expecting all 100 buckets to returned and ready to deliver to families in Haiti. Community of Grace has taken a bit of a different approach; they have engaged their community using Buckets of Hope as a community outreach project. In interactions with Jerry Glass, here is a brief report, “Over the course of days we have canvassed multiple stores such as Albertsons, King Soopers, Walmart & other retailers to discuss their desire to either partner with or permit us to promote the scope of the project during their peak hours. To date, the Walmart @ Chambers & Parker Road has booked us for Friday, 2/19 from 10-4pm & Friday, 2/26 from 10-4pm. Chick-Fil-A @ Southlands is graciously distributing flyers on behalf of the project. In our day-to-day conversations & interactions, we have been blessed to recognize a positive interest by individuals who desire to partner with Buckets of Hope.” To date they have distributed over 3500 fliers and used this as an opportunity to engage their neighbors.
