Colorado churches have invested more than $4.4 million into The Baptist Foundation of Colorado (BFC). At the end of 2013, BFC stood at $3.9 million. However, soon after the first of the year around $500,000 more of additional investments came, moving the Foundation to a new record.
Hitting the $4 million mark does not just benefit the Foundation, but the local Colorado church. Really it’s a Win/Win/Win. The church investing in the Foundation, receives on average 6-8% more than competitor banks. The Foundation grows in their financial base so they can assist more churches. Finally, a different church benefits from the Foundation’s services (loans, church grants, pastoral grants, scholarships and educational seminars).
BFC is also celebrating a new record of assisting more than one of every four Southern Baptist churches in Colorado over the past 12 years with investments and/or loans made at competitive rates of interest. This record does not take into account the number of churches that have benefited from our wills, trusts and estate planning seminars or our basic accounting principles classes.
Can we help your ministry?
- Investments- Does your ministry have excess designated dollars to invest? BFC offers competitive interest rates. Also, churches can have the peace of mind that all revenues generated by or donated to BFC are used for Kingdom purposes.
- Educational Seminars- Foundation members are willing to travel to churches to speak on financial issues. Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning seminars as well as Basic Accounting Principles Classes are offered by BFC.
- Church Loans- If your church has a need for money to remodel and help you reach more people for Christ, please contact us. We are not able to do loans in excess of $50,000 at this time, but we will put you in touch with our partner which is able to help with large construction or permanent loans at competitive interest rates.
- Scholarships- BFC offers scholarships for undergraduates, graduates (at a seminary) and for youth summer camps.
BFC is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).
