Our Vision

The Colorado Baptist General Convention is saturating Colorado with the Gospel — penetrating all pockets of lostness.

Colorado Southern Baptists see a day when:

  • All people worship the Most High God.
  • All pockets of lostness are penetrated and Colorado is saturated with the Gospel.
  • All people passing through Colorado have opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel.
  • All churches experience increased baptisms, membership and leadership development.
  • All churches multiply exponentially.
  • All churches engage in missions each year.

Our Mission:

Colorado Baptists are a network of churches cooperating to saturate our state and world with the Gospel.

Our Values

  • Worship

All people are created to worship the Most High God.

“…that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”  Philippians 2:10-11

  • Church Vitality

The Body of Christ is to be healthy and vibrant with all its members spiritually reproducing and ministering.

“From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”  Ephesians 4:16

  • Leadership Development

Identifying and training spiritual leaders sustains and perpetuates Kingdom growth.

“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.”   2 Timothy 2:2

  • Fluidity

Kingdom expansion is Spirit-powered and is beyond human comprehension or control.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”  Acts 1:8

“Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men. You will only find yourselves fighting against God.” Acts 5:38-39

  • Cooperation

God’s Kingdom plan is that His people work together.

“In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now…”  Philippians 1:4-5

  • Kingdom Focus

Our focus is the advancement of the Kingdom.

“But seek ye first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”  Matthew 6:33

  • Church Planting

Starting Biblically sound, culturally relevant churches further advances the Kingdom.

“I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.”  1 Corinthians 9:22

  • Prayer

Prayer prepares the ground for the seed of the Gospel and maintains dependence on God.

“Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.”  Isaiah 65:24

  • Evangelism

Every believer’s privilege is to tell lost people about Jesus.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…”  Matthew 28:18

  • Scripture

The inerrant Scripture gives guidance for all we do.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness…”  2 Timothy 3:16
