Recently The Colorado-Wyoming Summit was held at the Colorado Baptist General Convention offices to discuss a partnership between Colorado and Wyoming Baptists. Several Colorado and Wyoming Area Missionaries were present as well as executive directors Mark Edlund (Colorado Baptists) and Lynn Nikkel (Wyoming Baptists) and staff from both conventions. Peter Blackaby was also in attendance. He serves as the Partnerships and Volunteers Ministry Leader for the Canadian National Baptist Convention and was able to provide insight into how partnerships work. There was a great deal of excitement in establishing the partnership. In addition to partnering for missions there will also be a prayer partnership. Colorado churches will be able to sign up as a prayer partner to a Wyomingchurch and Wyoming will be able to do the same for Colorado.
